Features

FULLY AUTOMATED TIME SHEETS
Using your iPhone’s Location Services, Portero tracks arrival and departure times for locations you define, called Portals, and automatically creates Time Sheets for these Portals as you go about your day’s work. You don’t need to manage a thing, Portero is 100% automatic.
ACTIVITIES
Portero doesn’t just track the time you spend at a client location, it also allows you to define Activities, which Portero uses to fill in your Time Sheets with details about the work done. Assign a main Activity to a Time Sheet and optionally add additional Activities to provide an unlimited amount of detail to a Time Sheet’s job description.
REMINDERS
Reminders in Portero are location-based and are are linked to specific locations. A single Reminder may be assigned to multiple Portals, and will be triggered when you enter any of these Portals. Achieving the same functionality using built-in reminders would require creating a duplicate reminder for each location.
DASHBOARD.
The heart of Portero is the Dashboard, where you will find a graph summary of your current week’s Time Sheets. Directly access and edit Time Sheet details from the Dashboard. Use the Dashboard Status screen to complete, add a pause to, or cancel an ongoing Time Sheet and also to complete, snooze or cancel a Reminder.
UNLIMITED PAUSES
You can add a Pause to a Time Sheet as many times as required. Time Sheet Pauses are cumulative and are subtracted from the Time Sheet total. Add or remove a Pause to any completed Time Sheet at any time.
HISTORY
Portero keeps a detailed record of all your Time Sheets. Browse Portero’s History by month, and sort any given month’s list of Time Sheets by date, Portal or Activity.
FLEXIBLE TIME OPTIONS
Choose to have your time values rounded to the nearest 5, 15 or 30 minutes, and define a minimum time value. Completed Time Sheets that do not meet the minimum time value requirement are automatically deleted.
SMART-ROUNDING
Use Smart-Rounding to have Portero round time values to your advantage! Arrival times will always be rounded down to an earlier time, departure times will always be rounded up to a later one.
CALENDAR INTEGRATION
Associate one of your iPhone calendars to a Portal and turn on the Auto-Add-to-Calendar feature. Portero will automatically export completed Time Sheets for this Portal to the associated calendar. Time Sheets can also be exported manually to any calendar at any time, individually or in groups.
COMPATIBILITY WITH THIRD-PARTY CALENDARS
Because Portero works with your iPhone’s centralized calendar database, it is compatible with the vast majority of third-party calendaring solutions available for iOS and Mac OS X. Calendar synchronisation between iPhone, iPad and Mac requires iCloud.
TIME SHEET EXPORT
You can export single or multiple Time Sheets to your calendar, or export them by email, text message or Airdrop to a comma-separated values (CSV) text file. CSV files can be used with a wide array of software applications, from spreadsheets, to databases, to accounting systems.
PRESERVES BATTERY LIFE
Portero consumes very little energy, which means you can leave it on all day without significantly reducing your iPhone's battery life.
